Friday 22 May 2026 School Council - Fundraising Events We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our parents for supporting the School Council’s fundraising events for our two chosen charities. The cake sales have been incredibly well supported and enjoyed by everyone. Mr Opie was certainly worn out from saving all the goals during our Penalty Shoot Out game—Beat the Opie. The class winners of the competition will be announced after half term. Our sunflower project is also progressing well, with the seedlings beginning to grow and ready to be transferred into bigger pots after the holidays. We would also like to remind everyone that the art competition is still open for entries, and we look forward to seeing the wonderful creations. Thank you again for your continued generosity and encouragement School in a Bag will be attending for their bag packing on Tuesday 23rd June and the School Council children will be working with Able 2 Achieve finishing off their mosaics over the next month.

Thursday 9 October 2025 KS2 Author Visit On Thursday 9th October, we were very lucky to have Becca Rogers, author of ‘The Girl With Gills’, visit our school and speak to our children in Key Stage Two. She captured their attention and inspired creativity through a mixture of storytelling and writing prompts, keeping all of the children excited, enthused and engaged throughout. Becca then took the time to speak individually to all of the children receiving a signed book, which absolutely made their day. An absolutely brilliant morning! The children are still sharing all of their wonderful ideas for writing, inspired by Becca, days later. Thank you to Yeovil Waterstones for arranging the visit.
