Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium Grant is funding provided to schools which is additional to main school funding. It is allocated according to the number of pupils on-roll who have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) within the last 6 years. Pupil Premium payments are also allocated to children of service families and pupils who are ‘Looked After’ (in care) or adopted.
It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best places to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.
Schools are to be held accountable for how they have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families.
Our Pupil Premium Local Board member is Paul Molyneux who works effectively together with Pupil Premium champions Craig Andrew and Ellie Teague-Tucker and staff across Huish Primary School to ensure that this grant is utilised to best meet the needs of our Pupil Premium Children.
