Year 1 Geography - Using and Understanding Maths

After recalling a lesson we did last week on transport, we discussed what a map was and why we needed them. We watched a video from a sea plan that showed a ground view and then a bird’s eye view. After looking at Google Earth, we found Huish and other key landmarks in Yeovil. We even found our school. Working with a partner, we looked at a variety of different maps and discussed all the things we found.
