Reception Art Week - Eric Carle

During Art Week, Class 1 and Class 2 looked at the artist and author, Eric Carle and imitated this to make our own butterflies inspired by ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. First the children created their own coloured, textured paper working in teams and using tools such as brushes, bubble wrap, sponges and forks to create different patterns. Then, they cut out the shapes needed for their butterflies and arranged them on the page as a collage.
