Our Vision

International teaching and learning is embedded within our curriculum. The International School Award (ISA) was achieved in 2016 and reaccredited in 2019, 2022 and 2025. To achieve this award, Huish teachers must continue to deliver a varied range of cross-curricular activities designed to broaden children’s knowledge of the wider world and the varied cultures within it. These activities include language learning and collaborative work with international partner schools. Huish currently work with three international schools from Poland, Spain and Indonesia. It is hoped that these links will continue to strengthen in the future and new links will also be made.

By holding activities such as our annual ‘International Day’, as well as introducing new activities each academic year, we can ensure that all pupils are involved in international learning activities as they progress through the school. Our vision for the future is to prepare Huish pupils to become global citizens through a varied and exciting international curriculum.

Further information about our international learning can be found in Huish Headlines or on our school and year group news pages.
